A Chapel Hill food tradition since 1963
The Mariakakis family first welcomed customers through a restaurant, then transformed that experience into a specialty market in 1997. Today, the store remains a place where the owners are behind the counter and shoppers can ask a real person what to buy.
Our selection reflects the food traditions of Greece, Italy, Spain, Eastern Europe, Ukraine, Russia, the Middle East and the wider Mediterranean. The inventory changes with seasons and availability, but the focus stays the same: authentic products, reasonable prices and personal service.
